Tuesday Announcements

Effective speaking is now finished for the year.  We will start up again next year in September. Congratulations to all the cadets who participated and especially to those who competed tonight. The winner of our competition is Sgt Ding, she will represent 819 at the Wing competition  
Drill Team practice in on Wednesday at the Rec Center in the hall, from 6:30-8:30 pm (1830-2030).  All cadets are welcome to attend and try out for the team.  The competition is on May 3rd
Ground School in on Thursday upstairs in the Multipurpose room from 6 to 7pm.  The exam for cadets enrolled in the Online Ground School will be Thursday Feb 6.
Senior’s are having a meeting on Thursday after ground school from 7 to 8. 
 
Band practice in on Sunday at the Bicknell Sea Cadets in Richmond.  Band cadets interested in joining Honor Band over spring break can find information on 365. Cadets who want to apply for Honor Band can self register.
We have been invited to join the basketball tournament which will be on March 15.  Practices will start on Feb 7 at Richardson school from 6:30-8:30pm.  We are looking for a senior cadet to be the team coach and help run the team.  Message Admin if you are interested.
Summer Training – Applications are now open for Cadets who wish to go away for 2 or more weeks during the summer.  These camps are for level 2s and up.  The list of available camps are on our website, teams and online if you google Cadet Summer training 2025.  Once you know which course you want to take email 819air@cadets.gc.ca with your selections.  You will also need a bank account in your name as cadets get paid to take summer training.
Marksmanship practice will open up to all cadets on Sunday Feb 9.
 
Supply – new cadets should check the list at duty desk to see if your name in on the list before coming to see supply.  If you haven’t been measured for you C1/ blue uniform please the supply Sgts to schedule an appointment.
Next week is CO’s parade and cadets are to wear their full uniforms or black and whites.
