The Survive Air team is a cadet team that trains in the aircrew survival aspect of the cadet program. All cadets can join and participate with this team. The main goal of this team is to train cadets in preparation for a competition held annually in either Alberta or British Columbia. The cadets will participate in activities that test their skills in the different aspects of survival, like fire starting, shelter construction, and signals. The competition also includes a biathlon and a navigational aspect to it. The team sent to competition is composed of 2 cadets from levels 4-1 and takes place over 3 days. If a cadet is interested in learning more about aircrew survival, this is a good place to start.
