Fam Flying – We have an opportunity for additional power flights on Saturday Oct 19 at Pitt Meadows . If you are interested, please email 819air@cadets.gc.ca with your name and whether you prefer morning or afternoon. Flights leave every 45 mins starting at 10am until 2:30. Flights are in groups of 3 so if you have 2 cadet friends who want to fly with you sign up together. Remember these flights are weather dependent so leave a contact phone number.
Next Tuesday is our Sports Night across the street at Richardson School. Meet in the gym through the side door, not the front doors. Bring your water as we don’t have access to the water fountain. Timings are 6:30pm to 9:pm Make sure your ride picks you up at 9 oclock.
This Thursday will be Ground school in the upstairs loft from 1800-1900. Reminder no ground school on Halloween night
Also this Thursday is Effective Speaking from 1900-2030. Again, no effective speaking on Halloween night.
Drill Team – No practice this Friday. Next practice in Friday Oct 25
Marksmanship – NO practice this Sunday. There will be practice will be Monday Oct 21 from 1900-2100
Band – practice tomorrow night here in the main hall from 18:45 to 2100. All cadets interested in joining band are welcome to attend, even if you do not have an instrument.
NEW CADETS – NEXT weekend on Saturday Oct 26 is our second Training day. If you did NOT attend in September please sign up to attend this one
POPPY SHIFTS – We have a number of poppy shifts to be filled for Nov 2 and Nov 3 and again on Nov 9 and Nov 10. – remember all cadets are expected to attend our Remembrance Day ceremony in Ladner on Monday Nov 11. Information can be found on our website at www.NorthDeltaAirCadets.net
Lastly, Tuesday Oct 29 will be our Halloween night. Cadets are welcome to wear costumes or civilian attire. Please be respectful as you are still representing cadets even though you are not in uniform.
